Did you know that our
campsite in Notre-Dame-de-Monts
is open from April to the end of October? If you want to take a vacation in low season at the campsite, it is possible! Our heated swimming pool is open from June until mid-September, so you can enjoy the sunbeds and water games!

Activities around the campsite in low season

In the low season too there are plenty of things to do in Saint-Jean-de-Monts and the surrounding area! Take advantage of the mild low-season climate to discover the Vendée region at your leisure. You can also find all the activities to do around our campsite with the help of our tourist map.

• The island of Noirmoutier: discover a city with a harbor character with its pleasure boats and its numerous and charming small boats. In the middle of pines, oaks and salt marshes, many treasures of beauty are to be discovered. We recommend a cycling expedition to fully appreciate the villages and their narrow streets. You can rent your bike directly at the campsite!
• The Passage du Gois: explore this submersible causeway located in Bourgeuf Bay, where it connects the island of Noirmoutier to the mainland. You can cross it on foot, by bike or by car. However, be careful to choose your day carefully so as not to get stuck! Lovers of fishing on foot will be able to find their happiness there: between cockles, clams and wild oysters!
• The butterfly island: spend a magical moment by visiting the butterfly island in Noirmoutier. Discover the life cycle of the butterfly and in a magical moment witness their birth. Hundreds of butterflies from all over the world are waiting for you for a moment that will delight young and old.
• La Route du Sel: Traced in the labyrinth of the old salt marshes south of Nantes, cross the Route du Sel to give way to a superb and wild nature. A tour by canoe or on foot remains the best way to visit. It is the ideal opportunity to discover the joys of hiking.
• Vélocéane: for a sweet little ride, go along the Loire-Atlantique coastline by bike. Discover superb panoramas, between the sea front and the hinterland over 140 km, from Saint-Nazaire to Piriac-Sur-Mer.
• Caval’Océan in Saint-Jean-de-Monts: rendez-vous in September on the big beach. Discover different equestrian practices by the sea. Everyone can learn about horseback riding by participating in the various games!
